Hey Guys

Hey guys, hope you're all well. I posted up in the 'Introduction section' of the forum but i didn't get much of a response so i thought i'd make my presence known and say hi again :p I recently got a mk3 Ibiza Cupra and have searched, and looked at the sticky thread regarding induction kits. I'm totally new to the Seat scene and am just looking for peoples opinions on what they think is the best induction kit for the money. I know that an open cone filter isn't recommended. I was looking at the dynatwist from Badger5, what are peoples opinions on this kit, and will i get the marmite 'love it or hate it' DV sound from this kit.
Here's my old car...

And here's my Cupra, apologies as this is the previous owners pic, as the weathers been cack and i haven't had the chance to clean it yet :p

Any advice would be much appreciated. Just one more question... what offset are the wheels and are RH cups available in the Cupra offset? Any pictures of Cupras with them would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading the essay guys

I have dynatwist on mine, DV sound is ok but dont expect anything loud. A good kit but expensive.

There are many (induction kits) out there, good ones seem to be Dynatwist, BMC & Jabbasport

Cheers mate, the price isn't a great issue (as it's a new years treat lol) however, do you think that it's worth paying that little extra for the jabbasport, or is there not much difference between the two build quality etc. :)

Dont bother wasting your money. Open cone Jetex filter. ;)

Tried, standard, BMC, Dynatwist so far but the jetex has been the best so far.

Is the car standard at the mo then?

Im not sure if induction kits make a huge difference to the way the car is except the sound, I got a dynatwist as it only cost a tenner for me:p

Hiya mate, thanks for the reply. As far as i know the Cupra has had a stage one Re-map. It also has a pillar mounted boost gauge and apart from that it's standard. Seems to have a boost problem though, only boosts to 5. I was informed about this before i got the car. It apparently needs a new air flow sensor (according to previous owner). If i disconnect the battery and re-connect it, it boosts to about 10-12 does this sound about right to anyone i'm sorry if this thread is going all over the place

Yep sounds about right, will be your Mass Air Flow sensor thats playing up, Mine did that & it cost £80 from SEAT on exchange as they will want your old one. Get it booked in to sort that out & you should notice a differnce.

Good to see you have a boost gauge, a very worthwhile investment & is on my shopping list;)

Where did you buy the car from? Seems familiar, maybe an x- SCN member?

I'd expect it to be free fitting for 230 quid.

All it is is a Jetex cone filter with an Alu heat shield.

I got a Dynatwist filter for sale, 60 quid delivered. ;)

Yeah I remember lol, funny sht that. Here, use your money to get a new MAF (Air flow sensor) will change your performance more than an induction kit will trust me;)
