hesitation/flat spot on acceleration????

Hi

being new to the 03 Seat Leon 20v turbo cupra we have just bought I wondered if there are any known faults which cause a hesitation/flat spot when accelerating from start or low speed in low gears namely 1st and 2nd??

The car is awesome and has full leather electric seats and climate control and an awesome stereo!

If anyone has had problems with this please let me know!

so far I have done this:

Full service all filters, plugs and levels etc.
changed N75 wastegate control valve.

did wonder about AFM and possibly the throttle pedal???

hi there are you sure its not the turbo awaiting to spool up (lag)??

check fuel filter at rear near tank,sometimes neglected and not changed in service.have you changed the recirc{dump}valve for aftermarket valve yet,for say a bailey dv30,plus use a tank of shell optimax every 4th fill,and use something other than standard unleaded,sainsburys 97octane is reasonable,try not to use std unleaded as engine should be run on 98oct fuel anyway for performance.....any of this useful

no mate almost feels like a missfire but isn't???
Feels like total loss of power for a split second on light throttle!

If i drive it harder its much less noticeable!

already done all the filters and fitted milteck cat back system less resonator!

Car goes very well but just this hesitation/flat spot on light throttle at low speed and low gears?? feels like air flow meter trouble which I have had on many other cars??

I mate. I have had this problem, as have a couple of other people. There is a thread on here:

Have a look towards the end. I have cured this as explained in here. Its a combination of a slight boost leak and perhaps a dirty throttle body.
