Herbicide for green growth on the velvet?

I've got some green plant-like stuff (it might be a kind of moss but it looks too small and I'm no botanist...) growing in the velvet seal of my driver's-side window. I've tried rubbing the stuff off, but it seems too resistant to physical attack and I'll probably end up damaging the seal. Anyone know of a good, car-safe herbicide that'll kill this stuff?

Green moss on windows?

Don't laugh, bit we had a load of this green moss stuff on our kitchen window, i even took a scouring pad to it but still could not shift it! I get home one day and all the green has gone...my mate sprayed some Cillit Bang on it and it just wiped off with a tissue! Give it a go, it works!
So it could be....Bang and the dirt is gone!!!

Try some all purpose cleaner (APC) on it ?

I had some moss on the drive & used wheel cleaner on it, its dead now

An old toothbrush (or the toothbrush of someone you don't like) and your usual car washing fluid (diluted) work fine.
