Hi all,

I recently bought a Kenwood stereo to replace the Aura in my mk1 leon, i have heard that i need to change a couple of wires around so it holds its settings.

Now sounding like a complete noob, which wires do i switch and where are they (on the brown or black iso connections? or the other end). also my aerial adapter is different and can you tell me what adapter i need to connect it up, it is a long plastic tube on the kenwood and a short dumpy thing on my seat connection.

Sorry for the lack of technical terms used, on a scale of 1 - 10 my knowledge of fitting stereos is around 4, but i am not paying for someone to come and fit it in 5mins for 30 -40 quid.

Look forward to any replies and thanks in advance. :)

Have now fitted stereo, works perfect apart from the radio.

Does anyone know if i need a booster for the aerial as i only receive 98.1fm and no other channels.
All aerial sockets are in correctly and secure.

stereo is a Kenwood kdc-w4044ua, thanks in advance again.

If you put 12v to number 5,in the lowest block, you will get the aerial signal back.
