yeah you sound desperate too lol you will never hear the wastegate especially on the 1.8t engine you will hear the diverter valve if you put a BMC or dynatwist on or any other cone or closed induction kit especially if you get forges 007p diverter valve, xenon bulbs i dont know tro much about i am affraid but use the search option and you will find info on everything you have listed above

I have a Ramair induction kit with a Forge DV, sounds like Darth Vader [B)] and ATM I don't have the cold air feed on so the DV it quite noisy, but still subtle any louder it would get on my tits.:D

stealthy... £36 Green Panel filter, £15 80mm flexi intake pipe to the OE airbox and get the power & airflow. Not noisy or bling but a viable functional improvement

The dynatwist is a good choice, gives the car a nice throaty sound but not too loud, coupled with any aftermarket dv will give the car a dumping noise in the airbox but not anything like an atmospheric dv.

As for bulbs, I use osram silverstars, a definate improvement over standard

Having had a few different types on my old LCR

Pure functionality go for Ibizacupra's suggestion

Quality option - BMC CDA system

Ultimate Noise - RAM AIR sounds great at the slight expense of a bit of Quality

As a Compromise I'd go Green Dynatwist
