Help Urgent!!!

i got a ibiza fr tdi,

im having problems with it, i go to start the car up as usual, all the lights come on like usual, but the engine wont start up, im left with the battery and engine management light left on the dash, can someone help?? tired vagcom and no faults are coming up???

I had that and it was down to the wire snapping going into the starter motor. Use your Seat Assistance and get the AA to have a look at the car and see if they can start it.

ok mate, so you dont think its anything to do with the ecu, seeing as the engine management light is staying on??? will give the breakdown guys a call tomorrow

I had the same thing with my petrol ibiza fr, AA sorted it but i had to take it to the dealer to have a new section of wire put in the loom, the aa geezer told me it happens often on the new ibiza.

cool, well obviously if anyone else has any ideas it would be much appreciated, but i will try get the guys out tomorrow and see what they say

ohh, also the engine makes the noise as if its about to start, the engine shaking from side to side, like normal, but doesnt fire up, does this help anyone with any ideas atall?? oh the cars 13 months old aswell

On the plus side if it is that, then you should be able to get a hire car out of the AA until yours is fixed.
