HELP, split hose, what is it?

Excuse my lack of knowledge but need some help.

Just gone to change my DV valve, took the engine cover off and noticed a hose is split. It looks like it has been split for a while, its really dirty and doesn't look as if its just hapened.

Right guys, what is the hose for? And can I drive my car till next week when i can get it replaced?

If you look at this picture. Look at the oil cap, then go right, its the hose coming off the head to the right, parrallel to the head.

crank case breather - yes - OK to drive, but get it replaced soon - you don't want debris in the cam cover!

If you can fabricate some repair (I know this will be hard as all the oil has just covered your engine bay instead) but it might be possible to make something up with a coke can & two jubilee clips

DE 06A 103 221 AH. That is stamped on the hose, would that be the part number?
