HIi there everyone,

I am just wondering if any one can help me out here, I am looking to buy a new car and have been looking at the Seat Tolado. But I have a freind that works at a specialist VW garage and he said to me that if I am going to buy a tdi one to get the TDI PD as it is a better engine to the TDI just that they had some emission problems with it. I have seen both 1.9 TDI PD and 2.0 TDI PD do they do the PD in 1.9 and 2.0 versions? what are the power out put of them? I am really intersed in the sport model just want to know if they do the 2.0 in the PD version.

Any help would be appresiated.

Thank You Rob

The pre pd engines were either 90 or 110bhp.

Earlier engines in the pd style were (bhp) 115, 130, and 150, later followed by the 100, and a 90 in the Seat Alhambra, and a 160 in the Ibiza. All of these were 1.9ltr.

More recently, the new 2.0ltr engine came along and has 140 and 170 bhp, and the 105 bhp 1.9ltr appeared aswell.

So if your after a brand new Toledo, then you'll get a pd engine (2.0ltr or 1.9 - 105bhp) if it's a diesel. If you go for an earlier model then you could get any of the others depending on what year and spec you go for.

Yes i am after the new version of the tolado (brand new or a year old). That is great a great help thank you, I have seen the 2.o TDI PD sport which has 140 bhp, have they used the 170 version of the the 2.o in the tolado or not?

Also what is the stylance diesel? i have just seen the 2.0 sport model but says "Seat Toledo 2.0 Tdi Stylance sport"

Cheers Rob

No, they only put the 1.9 105bhp and the 2.0ltr 140bhp in the Toledo. Both are PD engines.

Stylance is the specification and trim, nothing to do with the engine as such.
