Hi guys I have owned my mrk 3 seat Leon fr 140 2014 for nearly a year now and I’m looking to do some modifications to the car.
I will have to wait for my insurance to run into to do some of the mods but I’m looking for advice before the insurance runs out so I can be prepared.

One thing I wanted to do was stage 1 remap the car and I was wondering if you guys recommend this or can it deal damage to cars components in the long run and if it can do you guys know what components sorry about this Too I’m not to knowledge in this department that’s why I’m trying to get some advise thank you, I’m also in the west midlands and if you guys know any good tuners in and around the area would be great help thank you

also another modification I will be doing to the car is getting an induction kit and then getting a stainless steel exhaust system on the car at a later stage if you guys could recommend any that would be suitable for the car at a reasonable price

also one other thing I was looking to do is a pops and bang remap and I was wondering if this would do more damage to my vehicle than good and if it’s even worth it from your guys experience

Do not get pops and bangs remap on a 1.4 you will look a right walloper

get the induction kit, get the remap, get a decent quiet exhaust not a big cherry bomb job and be happy

remap will likely effect turbo and clutch longevity

Agreed. Also Be prepared for problems if you do remap it. I’m not saying you will, but it’s much more likely you’ll experience issues.

A stage 1 remap is a good power upgrade. However, I wouldn't go for a tuning box or anything other than a reputable map, such as Revo, Bluefin Superchips etc.
Midland VW are in Cannock. They are VAG specialists and will do a Revo remap and any other mods you may want. Highly recommended.

Yeah don’t use Johns back street garage universal mapping service for £55 whatever you do.

If you want pops and bangs you need to change your downpipe to a metallic one with say a 200 cell cat. The OEM one would just die very fast. That's why go to people who know what you have and what they can do to your car without killing parts in it,
