Help needed - Servicing Advice for a Newbie

Hi, my wife and myself are now he proud owners of a Leon Cupra :) we were hoping we could get some advice!

We bought it at 74k miles and its last service was at 55k (it had its belts changed back at 30k). It's now done 74 and is overdue a service as the previous owner changed oil, pads, discs etc etc himself but didn't do the belts.

So - we were looking for a good place for servicing around Farneham in hampshire - there is a Seat garage in Farenham and they quoted:

£200 odd for basic service
+
£320 for cam belt change
or £440 for cam belt and water pump change (which the recommended)

We were just wondering if this was reasonable, if we should get the water pump changed as they said these do go and then we'd have to remove the belt again to change it and if anyone had experience of this garage or had another they could recommend??

Get the water pump done at the same time, then it's done, and you won't have to worry about it for a while. Shop around and see if any other garages can do it cheaper

Cool - just wanted to check the pumps really did go and it wasn't just a main dealer getting a little ... ohhh ... one in one thousand go .. let's replace it! :)

I guess I could try some non Seat garages locally and get a quote ...

Yes, I thought that was a lot! i've phoned our local garage who've been good in the past and asked for a quote as well.
