HELP NEED WITH HIDs CUTTING OUT!!??

Hi everyone just driving home from work today and my offside HID keeps cutting out??

if i turn off my lights and turn them back on again then it comes on for about 5 secs then goes off?

anyone els had this problem?? really need your help! :cry:

tryed checking them but not easy in the dark! :( and its the off side so not the best one to get to! but it does it when it is parked so its not as if its moving..?? seem strange!

id say loose connections mate... unplug them and replug in, probably sort it.....

offside is the easier one isnt it, nearside near the battery the hardest?

I still think failed ballast - normal sign of failure is coming on, flickering then going off - fixed by turning ignition on and off - eventually it won't come on at all. Had this with a couple over the last 3 years. Worth checking the connections but i don't think that's what it is :)

tryed that and no good! so lookis liken it may well be the ballast! gunna try swapping them around tomorrow!? if it does the same on the other side its prob the ballast if not it may be the bulb???

what you think???

yep get a years warrenty, got them from HIDs Direct.... was only yesterday i was saying how good they where! lol

sods law that, send em back mate, get a new set before fannng around and risking breaking them...

you got oe bulbs to go back in whilst...

yer well think i have if not will go get some just a bit concerned because of the hole where the grommets are and even more dust getting in the light!

u think i should still try swapping them over though?

try it, cant hurt, you never know either.

cover the holes with something whilst youre waiting for replacements.

gaffer tape should do it

Hi guys

Just an update I finally got round to sending the faulty ballast off and must say the customer service was spot on! Sent it off and had the new one back 2 today’s later! Fitting it tonight so hope all goes well!

Cheers buddy, got them fitted last night took about 5 min and so far so good :) so happy to have them back! :)

If anyone is thinking about putting HIDs in then i would say defo go for it! and if ya live near me drop me a PM and i will give you a hand if needed!
