:help: right, im looking at removing the centre consol (the bit round the radio, cup holder, climate control etc...) any idea on how to do this? ive tried and i can only get it off a tiny bit at the bottom and dont want to pull any harder incase it snaps

Also how do you remove the top of the gearstick, ive also been looking into this and cant seem to find anyway of it coming off

Then last but not least how do you remove the surround of the speedo dials?

Any help greatly appreciated and dont go off track as i think someone could make this a good sticky!

ahhh ok thanx for that, where do u think i could get the key 2 remove the head unit from?

I got some audi keys from Halfrauds for a couple of quid. They aren't exactly the same as the SEAT ones (which I didn't know at the time, but once I got the unit out I bent them to be a better fit for next time) but they did the job!
I spent ages trying to get the head unit out with cut up credit cards to start with… to no avail!

Take out the head unit - Get some keys generic for VAG cars from Hellfrauds - £2 ish
Take out the under tray (pull hard, first time its hardest)
Remove 2 Torx T-20's on the inner left/right of the panel.
Remove 2 Torx T-20's on the inner top section of the panel.
**if its your 1.2 thats it... If youve got CC instead of AC**
There are 2 Torx T-20's underneath the climate control box which screw threads go upwards. Therefore you need a slim or small screwdriver to get at them (i removed my ash tray bits and my screwdriver 'just' fit in there to coax em out.)

Then just pull it, theres a few clips. Hope this helps
