HELP idiot

need a bit of help please been looking into buying 1 of these sps devices
but i think £299 for a sps 3 is a bit over budget would i be best buying a sps 1 what actual does it do
i have read u a bit on them but don't quit grasp it
i know the sps 3 u can adjust timing and boost but can not quite understand what the sps 1 does is just to turn revo on and of or what it says switch between performance on the revo site but can c how that works with it

This version of the Serial Port Switch (SPS 1) allows the user the ability to switch between different levels of performance via the diagnostic port. The user simply selects the program on the SPS, plugs it into the diagnostic port for a few seconds until an audible bleep indicates the program is loaded, and then removes the SPS.

so how do u program it

You set the little dial to "Stock" or "Performance" and plug the SPS in with the ignition switched on. It bleeps and you take it out again.

There's no programming, it just switches between the two maps.

Not really; the SPS is just a switch and doesn't store the maps itself (which is why an SPS does nothing to a non-Revo ECU).

get an sps3 off the bay has many good features like valet mode and anti theft etc aswell as boot and timing adjustment
