Evening all,

Have a 2002 Cupra which has lost the use of it's headlights! Sidelights and main beam are fine, and an electrical test shows that no power is getting to the headlights. All thoughts currently point to a relay being out (fuses are fine), but was wondering if anyone else has suffered with this problem. Also - anyone know where the relay is??!!

Cheers,

Ian.

Hi mate,

I know this sounds like a silly question, but has your brake lights blown?

When these go they cause all sorts of electrical problems (when mine went & I presses the brake, my headlights came on - lol)

There isn't a relay.

It's either your headlight switch (which is full of electronics, and a known VAG weak spot), or the left hand indicator stalk (with the high beam flasher in it).

My money is on the headlight switch.

Simon.
