I know this has been covered before but no search has helped, the warning light came on ages ago( the warning triangle below the abs light) and goes off periodically vag com lists it as electrical fault in circuit, through searches and posts it seemed the sensor was located on the steering column on the left hand side, well i eventually got a new one and went to fit it today it consists of two separate black box's the top large one says it is the yaw control sensor the smaller one does not say what it is.
I fitted it but the light still comes on :censored: and vag com still says the same.
gutted, could it be that this part is nothing to do with the Lateral acceleration sensor and if so does anyone know where it is.
Any help on this matter would be gratefully appreciated:)

I had this go on my S3 and as you say, its the smaller of the 2 units fitted to the same bracket. The fault WAS listed in VAG-COM as G200 sensor (with another code for it, cant remember). I simply changed it and the light disappeared, there was no need to clear the fault in VAG-COM.

Sorry I cant be any more help than that but if the sensor you changed was brand new then it points to a wiring fault..
