Hey any guys from N.Ireland that have any idea where i can get a sports exhaust with twin chrome pipes or an oval one for my 1.6 leon? I has a look about but couldnt find anywhere, im stuck with a standard one so far

Id love to take mine off and get a single oval instead.

would the cupra R back box not fit , all it might need is a reducer , would be expensive tho

Anything can be made to fit it is a matter of room under the car and money for the work to be done!

I have a Powerflow back box and also a 2.5" pipe me made up by them and have had no problems and as a few members will confirm its sounds class!

You hear a few bad reports but I have had no problems yet Fingers crossed, touch wood!

10 brick not too sure how much would you be thinking? I have this oval tail pipe with "seat sport" on it i bought from ebay but it wont fit my car because it welds onto a single pipe.... if anyones interested?

Have you tried taking it to an exhaust fitter and asking them to mod it to make it fit!

nope havent asked them yet but i thought id be looking a new backbox since the one i have has 2 pipes exiting it?

but you could put the 2 pipe into the tail pipe and weld that on

If you had the 2 pipes cut straight!

Cant see the need for a new backbox

How long it the tail pipe? Does it go further than the pipes if you took the point from where they would be straight if they didnt curl down?

i think it would be long enough but theres a single pipe within the oval so theres no way of fitting the 2 of my pipes into it....?

the standard box sits too high i think, the cupra one is larger and the pipes come off lower down the box.

I think your making this hard on yourself

Take it to your local exhaust fitter not the likes of kwik fit but and tell them what you want and they will tell you it can be done or it cant!

But I cant see why not!

yea il take the pipe round to them and tell them what i want, if it cant be done theres a shiny tail pipe for sale

went to an exhaust fitter today and he suggested that he block the left pipe up and welded the new tail pipe onto the remaining standard pipe to the right. Would blocking one of the pipes be a stupid thing to do? Surely theres 2 pipes there as standard for a reason?

id be wary mate as your halving the exhaust area, i suppose you could try it then if its not for you, junk the box and get a powerflow/trufit one instead with your own desired shape.

a found another exhaust fitter and he says he can make the 2 pipes flow into one and connect the tailpipe that way. would this still be restricting the exhaust?

how much would a new backbox cost at trufit? i passed it today and got me thinking.... i take it i wouldnt need to tell the insurance comp about a new backbox?
