HELP; Forge FMIC hanging off!!!

Had been out shopping for the day yesterday, and was just approaching my home town. Came down off the nearby bypass and as I braked for the junction, I heard a scraping noise come from the front. I instantly thought; LCR Splitter is fooked and hanging off! So carried on and it did it a few more times going over very little bumps in the road. Got home, had a look and its not the splitter; the Forge FMIC was hanging right off to one side!!

I had a look and basically the plate on the top (which has the brackets welded to it) has snapped on the outer side of each bracket. So the FMIC is essentially only held on now by the pipes which supply it.

What can I do? Im reckoning its a phone call direct to Forge tbh, everone agree?

Has anyone ever hasd this happen before?? The intercooler is still within its warranty, as I have a reciept for it getting fitted on the 22/01/07, so in theory, it should be replaced...??

in the meantime anyway you think it can be supported? straps? jubliees if theres much of a bracket left?

That happened to the dev unit they made for my old Focus ST. A quick email to them and I got a replacement sent out. Top work from the Forge guys.

Well, I phoned Forge about 30 seconds after writing the thread this morning; and tbh - 10/10 for the service I got!

They said to whip it off, send it back and they'll have a new one out in the post to me the same day they recieve it, awesome! Just hope the xmas post isnt too bad now...

Happened to me too, i managed to keep it wedged in place and they sent me a new one straight away with modded brackets, i fitted it then sent mine back.

They hav obviously recognised the problem and done something about it.

Great service from forge.

They are also looking into some lower supports for the cooler too. Just to stop it flapping around and falling off!
