Help...car has gone nuts!

Afternoon....not a good one tho! rite, any ideas? my centre console display has gone mad, when im on anything other than the outside temp it keeps flicking back to outside temp and back to whatever i am looking at! also i have no heater or AC controls..the just say off on the screen and do not respond! i did the stereo conversion about 4months ago and it been fine since day one. really wierd. anyone got any ideas as to what it could be...im thinking somthing on the main board that is out of the original stereo.

it could be the little cable between the stereo face and the car loose check that as it comes loose sometime causing this

As said above mine gave abit of bothered just has to push the cable tightly together

which end guys...because i took the cable off the board (stereo) end and put it back on loads of times...plus i saw a wee bit of smoke which sorta tells me its fooked for good. Does anyone know if i have to get a stereo from a car with aircon or will any ibiza stereo do the job?????

well that kinda means your car could catch on fire at anytime ??

id strip the whole thing out and re-do it from scratch and make sure all wires are correct and properlly insulated

i know yea pretty worrying.....but the smoke was from the main board out of the stereo not any of my wiring...plus it was working wen it happened and then it didnt.

getin depressed now too...as this morning my car started to overheat and first thing i thought of was the fuse on the batt...and heypresto...its melted...whats the third thing goin to be then...clutch pedal!!? hmmmmm.
