Please can someone advise me on what to do, i have just cleaned my car and there was some bird poo on the roof. When i power washed it, then cleaned it i have noticed where the poo was the paint is marked. When i rub my finger over it you can feel where the poo was. I have tried scrubing but i didn't want to do more damage. Any clues on what to do PLEASE. :(

t cut is last resort , try using a clay bar first or failing that get hold of some bug and tree sap remover , as a last resort use t cut.

if you wax your car and keep it in good health you wont get the problem again.

I've noticed that's its a lot easier getting the bird poo off a car with solid paint than that of a metallic paint car with laquer.

I bought my other half a brand new Citroen C1 in January in metallic black and the birds keep dive bombing it. As the poo is acidic it attacks the lacquer.

I've used everthing on one part of the car and its stained the lacquer. So I think its all down to getting it off the car quickly before the poo has had time to attack the lacquer.

The best things to use are paint cleanser, claybar or even scratch remover.

Cheers

The solid colours are laquered too - you don't get cars with "solid" paint anymore.

All modern paint finishes are three coat - primer, colour, clearcoat

I've taken to parking at a funny angle on my drive just so my new car doesn't get crapped on quite so often. Always seems to happen just after you've waxed it (which luckily seems to make it easier to get off if you get to it quickly). If I didn't know better I'd say the little feathered gits were doing it on purpose!

You learn something new everyday. I always thought that it was only the Metallic paint that the lacquer applied to the paintwork.
