Driving back from Cornwall the other day (Altea 2.0 Sport TDI), the fuel was running very low so filled up full tank (diesel).
Accelerating to join motoway the Emissions Light came on & stayed on. Pulled over checked engine no visual problems. Car is driving fine no performance related issues. Any advice?

I live in Newport S.Wales, Car will need plugging for dianostics to get fault code.

Can anyone reccommend a friendly Diagnostics Mech.

Cheers Yakk.:headhurt:

Hi Mate,

just had car checked at local garage £40 for dianostic, the motorised throttle body (motor for intake manifold flap) is kaput.

Cost of part £268.91 + vat

Trying to source new part cheaper on the net fingers crossed.

Total Bill £480.47 labour vat free cup of tea inclusive. ouch

Common problem because local VW had 12 on the shelf what does that tell you.

Off to do some overtime seya for now.
