Help a fellow MK3 owner ...

MOT time and my seat is fcuked (back moves), its going to fail and i need the mot to get tax. (ran out yesterday)
Anyone got a crappy 1.4 seat or similar i could use/buy to get me through the MOT until i get my new seats????

OR

someone borrow me a seat for the day (cheeky i know) in exchange for some beer tokens??

Any help appriciated (based near warrington/st helens but can travel)

How bad is it, I know Recaro's back rests move and mine passed an MOT ok. And all 4 sets of standard seats I've had have all had movement in the back rest.

you cant move the back up or down (just turnes and doesnt move)
and if you lean back the left side of the seat goes backwards so your sat at a angle, just dropped it off at the garage then and he said it will fail, but i put it in anyway to see if theirs anything else (which their isnt i dont think)

Dont know if its just me but when I first read your post I thought you meant it was your car fcked (SEAT - Seat)

I was under the impression you wanted to borrrow a SEAT (Car) instead of seat (car seat) for the MOT

just remove the seats and the rear belts. cant fail it then as there is no rear seat features

it was the drivers seat lads, the back of it is FCKU'd
Borrowed a 1.4 seat off tbc (tom) last night (mucho respect matie) and dropping it back off for him tonight, cars just going back in now so it should be sound

and as people have said, love the way people are willing to help out fellow members on here, mucho respect

little update on this, car is now LEGAL and tom has his chair back

Again, all your offers were much appreciated, wouldnt have managed to get hold of a seat if it wasnt for SCN so again, and big thumbs up to the admins as well for the superb website keep up the good work
