Helix SEAT Chelmsford...

i went in there yesterday for them to investigate a creaking noise i have from the front passenger side of my car...


they were extremely helpful to me... we went out for a test drive and the mechanic (think he was romanian) identified the problem to be with the passenger suspension.

I have FK coilovers fitted by the way!

despite this fact they took it in and spent about 20mins looking at it and came to the conclusion that either the top mount or bottom of the coilover needed a bit of lubication.

as a result i contacted BBT and went their this morning and chris agreed it needed lubing up!

so im goin back there at 5pm today and they are taking it fully apart to clean it up and then reasemble it with lots of lube!

hopefully this wil sort the noise out! (fingers crossed! )

Whom incidently are very good, but I asked them to look at the Engine coolant temperature sensor that keeps going off and when I came to pick it up they told me "The beeping noise you wanted us to investigate is because your windscreen washer was low"

I'm not stupid, I know THAT. But in Winter my temperature sensor was always going off, yet the coolant level was fine. Still, they had serviced it by then and I wanted to get back before the traffic got too bad so I didn't bother to explain it.

Helix in chelmsford is also a citreon dealer, however they have a sEAT department which only does servicing etc!

Glad they were good for you. Ive got mine booked in for a service on Tuesday and to investigate boost/vacumn leak !!

Good service as in they did the service in the time they said they would and put in my chosen oil, though when asked if they checked for boost leak guy on desk mumbled so I doubt they even looked as if it was reved you'd hear it and investigate it while on ramp !!
