Hi All

I have a 1.4tsi mk2 Leon late 2011. Heat coming out of the vents Luke warm. Pipes in the engine bay leading to the heater matrix are very hot both. Same with the pipes under the glove box both hot. Coolant full zero leaks.

Now when I plug my diagnosis box in, the cabin temp is reading over 30degrees. And coolant temp is reading 92degrees, so I'm cancelling out heater matrix problem and thermostat problem. Cabin cant be 30degrees as well its minus 4 here and i can see my own breath in my car haha.

Now i put my finger on that dot centre of the dash above the radio and the inside temp went up to 40degrees on my box of tricks.

I'm curios is there a interior sensor somewhere that i cannot find or is this is and i can change out this panel and hope heating works haha.

Any help welcomed.

I had a similar issue on a Peugeot 308, not a Leon but sounds pretty much the same as what I had.

Despite being all electronic looking, in the Peugeot the climate control was all on the infotainment screen the process is very manual.

There's a sort of cover which opens and closes over the cold and hot parts of the blower to get the mix right of hot and cold air, this got jammed and was open more on the cold side and hardly any over the hot, meaning most the air was blowing out cold and the hot was being 'kept back'

It was a simple fix, needed to loosen a few screws and put a bit of WD40 on it and tighten up the screws again, then problem solved.

I hope that explanation makes sense.
