heated rear windscreen probs

Hi, recently had a new rear windscreen fitted, & ever since then I dont think the de-mister is working. I opened the boot up, & both conectors are on, but, I've noticed on the left side, a third connector, tucked nside the tailgate, behind where the other connector comes from. What is this, cos as far as i can tell, only one connector fits on the terminal?
