My Exhaust heat shield on my beeza Is really loose and it knackerd that much so that it is rattling so much it driving me mad!!!
Can i just remove it?

I have a 3'' Downpipe With de-cat and Milltek System...And at the Moment When driving it really hard am getting Small 1ft flames out of the back Is this Normal?
I don't get it all the time just on the ODD occasion?

whe running a decat it would pop and spit a fair bit.. and i took my heatshield of also.. i know mine is a mk 2.. its the cat itself that gets really hot going through the process of cleaning the fumes, so a decat should be fine without one

I once asked whether this could be done and I think the general response was they wouldn't do it on a turbo vehicle, only on a normally aspirated. Subsequently I didn't do it.

It's ironic as it make perfect sense to try and reduce under bonnet temps, but with these parts reaching such high temps it does make you wonder if wrapping the heat in will make them prone to earlier failure

Shouldnt be a problem unless you have something after the wrap that could melt, problem with stainless is it has a high thermal diffusivity so by adding the wrap your transfrerring heat further along the system.

So in other words, watch your rubbers/gear cables etc...

I've wrapped my downpipe to avoid heat around the cables etc. But I would advise not wrapping the manifold as you will put too much heat into the manifold and it will probably crack
