Headunit capability

Hey all,

Im interested in installing some better sound quality into the Ibiza and wondered what the capabilities of the standard unit is?

If possible, I'd like to avoid fitting a single DIN to a silly place, but wanted to know if I can get quality sound using the original?

Is it worth me spending a bit of money on amp, speakers and a sub, whilst keeping the standard unit?

When I bought my car it already had the 6x9's and front speakers amped and the sound quality is very good. I don't think I'd gain much from a new headunit anyway!
