Headlights ??

Hi i keep seeing a LCR in my town with awsome headlights they look a bit blue, i spoke to a friend of mine who said about fitting xeons (not sure how to spell it) but apparently its not just a case of swapping over the bulbs and alot more work is involved, is this the case ?? or is there a alternative bulb that will just swap over that will give me this effect ??

You can get xenon bulbs, which give off a blue tint, i have some fitted on my LC. Or you can get hid's, which are much brighter than normal lights, and you have to fit the ballasts that power/run them. Were they bright as in nearly high beam sort of bright?

took me about half hour to fit them and the ballasts and cost 35 quid off ebay

more likley to be hids as said above sounds about 6k , which is what i have
