mmmmmmmmmm

OK, I would have thought all of the switched 12v supply's would be present on the old loom, just separate them and connect to the relevant spades on the new lights
then earth each bulb either to the body or the original earth

can't see why you would need to go to the dealers

I would imagine it would be similar to fitting aftermarket Lexus rear clusters to a nova........................anyone can do it

So basically all i need to do is split an earth from the Full beam and dip beam and same with a power, make sure i get the correct main beam with the correct earth and vice versa.

That sound right?

If so its just the same with my old clio when i put the dual optics on.

will my head light connectors fit the new headlights?

yeah that's about it

although the earth is common so you only need to find the hi beam, dipped beam wire

you will only have 3 wires going to your old h4 bulbs (hi beam, dipped beam and earth) as h4 bulbs only have 3 connections

on the new lights the bulbs will have 2 connections each so that is where you need to get the earth wire and splice it and connect to both of the bulbs

BTW, when connecting the new bulbs it doesn't matter wich way round you put the supply wire and the earth, they will still light up

let me know if you need any more help

@ ibiza02 - every car has black ones....?

@ rosco - the dual headlamps aren't just available on the facelift. The FR & Cupra's (and maybe sports  ) had them since the introduction of the mk4

Hi Rosco,

Did you ever change those lights and if so what did you do with the old ones?
