headlight / sidelight control not lit up!

evening Ladies and Gents,

i got in to my car this evening, turn the ignition key and........engine light.

i then noticed that the headlight / sidelight control wasnt lit up?


any ideas???

it was wet so im thinking that the rain had something to do with it???

okey dokey. thinking of buying a vagcom, what spec etec would i need? theres loads on ebay, looking abit cheap though?

full version from ross-tec 99 dollers and a cheap lead from ebay and your sorted. i couldent live without it. plus you can do logs of boost and all that if you ever have any problems that dont throw up lights. pm me if you need links or help mate

You checked all the fuses? Not sure if there is a specific one for the controls but may be worth checking.

or get a cheapo usb vag-com cable off ebay and use it with the 409.1 demo software, has everything you need to read faults. some of them may not be decoded but dead easy to find out what they mean from the internet. I have them all in a handy txt file if need be.

obv you need a laptop for this! or a pc with a reeeeeely long usb extension cable, or move it outside and have really long power cables
