Just a quick question, i have a massive crack in my drivers side headlight that i need to replace.
Im going to get it from the breakers bu i just wanted to know is the headlight just a bog standard unit i.e can be taken from any model
My car is a cupra 16v and im not sure if the lightsd are specific to that model

gti's had twin headlights (2 H1 bulbs IIRC)
whereas normal ibiza's had single headlights

then there is when yours was made, as there were smaller indicator headlights (which meant smaller headlights to accomodate) and larger indicator headlights

i only recently found this out, and have got hold of the smaller indicator ones lol, they fit, but are further back on the front, so grill has space between it (doesn't sit flush) and indicators don't fill the wings properly :)

This meaning that my best bet is to find a gti headlight from the same year as my car. when did they switch over from small to the largeer units?

Also be careful as some headlights are elctronically adjustable and some are manual! i.e raising and lowering the direction can be done inside the car on some and not on others

Ye seems like going to be a hunt one down job, if anyone knows anywhere near Maidstone that breaks or anyone who is selling there lights let me know, phoned a few yards but they dont have the exact fit one.
