hey, had a little "accident" with the cover for the electrics on the back of my drivers side headlight, its, erm, broken.

Does anyone know if seat sell these seperatly or will it have to be a new light?
iv asked at my local VW garage and they were only prepared to sell me the full headlight unit and as it'd cost me way too much i'd rather go without a cover.

cheers Neal.

std single bulb type main cover (large):

LH - 6L0 941 607
RH - 6L0 941 608

twin/xenon type main cover (large):

LH - 6L0 941 607 A
RH - 6L0 941 608 A

small outer triangle cover (same on both models)

LH - 6L0 941 607 B
RH - 6L0 941 608 B

each one is approx £5 a piece + vat

to double check the part number should be on the back of the old cover - if its broke or missing check the other side :)

Trying to change the bulbs by any chance?

I've got some indicator, side/dipped/main to install on a TDi and I'm not looking forward to doing it at all!

my front left side light always seems to go, i lost the small metal clip for the triangular cover. im guessing its not possible to buy this small clip??

i noticed today however that the driver side side light has now gone and there is a big cynlinder thing in the way - how the hell am i supposed to change the bulb??? i cant take the head light out as the entire cupra bumper is attached

Pay for my nine year old daughter to help?

Seriously I'm not looking forward to doing the off-side indicator/sidelight one bit. Still, people have managed to do it on here, but probably still have the scars to remember it by!

must be someone on here that works for a dealership that knows how they do it?? the passenger side hurts your arm with that stupid spike thing in the bay that doesnt appear to have a purpose..

maybe an investment in some long nose pliers will work better

the bulb i need to replace is on the otherside to the battery, im not sure if its the fuel filter thing blocking the way or some sort of air con compressor - im not a mechanic, but know its damn annoying !

anyone tried taking the bumper off on the cupra? to me it looked like it was stuck on when i tried removing it - yes i did take out the couple of screws on the top first

ohhh i just done the side light driver side, was much easier than i had expected, just took off main beam cover job done.... couldnt get the damn side light cover back on its well fiddly and it has 2 slots u have to fit it into first... cant see it causing any damage from water so leaving them off for both sides :D

anyone know if its likly to really hurt the bulbs/connectors with out it on?
