Headlight converters

I have had a good look through these forums and cannot find a definitive answer on this one.

I am driving over to France for new year and have got all the necessary bits the French want when driving in their country now, high vis jacket, warning triangle etc. What I cannot find out is how easy it is to get the converters for the Mk2 Leon headlights.

I have seen the fairly cheap stick on ones from Halfords but has anyone had any experience of these, are they easy to fix, or any other solutions.

Cheers for your help.

I drove home to Monaco over summer and bought the sticker things from Halfords. I did no night driving, and didnt actually bother sticking them on in the end...i simply left them in the boot in case any police person asked me why I didnt have them.

These stick on one's are perfectly legal and perfectly fine to use. I've done many miles on the 'wrong' side of the road with these and never had a problem. By problem I mean no French man has beaten me over the head with a baguette for dazzling them!
Thats's the only reason they are fitted, you won't even notice the difference, it just means the left and right bulbs are of similar height and out of oncoming drivers line of sight.

If you buy the headlamp protectors they come with the sticker/beam correctors.
However have you ever seen any european car over here with them on? Sure years ago everyone used to do it but not anymore, take a look at all the polish and others that have been here ages still on european plates/lights/insurance(if any)no road tax[:@]:censored:

We never bother with our trucks at work when we go over, and foreign trucks certainly don`t have them when they deliver either...........

I know you takes your chances, so if it was my car for the sake of a few quid and not getting in to trouble on my hols I would get some:headhurt:
