Headlight Control Unit

Hi,

I noticed the other night that some of the lighs on the headlight controls were not on, is this likely to be a led style bulb that has gone or should i get a new conrtol panel?

Mines a Cupra 04 plate, and there is a 04 TDI in a local breakers, will the two use the same part? im expecting it will, if it does use the same part, has anybody tried to change one? cos it looks stuck in quite well!

any advice on how to remove such an item would be great

They are one piece unit with are lit with LEDS. They pop out quite easy with a small screwdriver. Also one plug so it should be simple.

I seem to remember the one in a spare dash panel I had being an absolute pig to remove .... actually broke the two halves of the casing apart trying to remove it


It's probably easiest to take the whole panel, then you can carefully prise it out from the reverse side when you get home



Try taking yours out first - you've nothing to loose

What i did was take the bottom panel out and the push it from the back. Much safer but take longer. Still easy tho.
