have a question about my mk2 “leon fr550 that I hope you can help me with

HEADLIGHT BULBS TO DIM!!!!!!!!!???

ok. So my headlightsat nite are.........
Well let’s just say there not very bright
And yes I’m a neebie fr owner but that doesn’t mean Iv not Tryd fitting bulbs
( after my friend suggest ? )
High beam is ok but can’t scoot around the streets with it constantly on
Is there a way to convert the standered bulbs to HID ( think that’s what they are ) or just a type of bulb to use so a little brighter????

PS. Since I’m In my mid 40s my eyesight at night has, let’s say, Not as young s they where

It's now illegal to fit HID conversions to standard reflector light housings.

You can however fit the Xenon lights that were an optional extra on the Mk2 Leon

I wouldn't advise xenon conversion because it seems that it's all different wiring and alot more extra wiring plus additional parts to make them legal, in the long run it'll cost a fortune plus if they become faulty it's also expensive.
For standard halogen I'd recommend nightbreaker bulbs, they are much better than the standard bulbs but still nothing compared to xenon. They do appear whiter and distance is quite abit better in my experience. Cost about £20.
