Fitted some new H7 bulbs to the car this evening, well Mike and Ed and John did, and when I've driven the beam seems to be too low down and not spread across like the standard bulbs. Can anything be done about this?

ah well, seems strange that bulbs would cast a different beam but what do I know

you should be able to tweak them up a bit

do it whilst parked facing a brick wall so that you use the lines of bricks as a Gage

also park another car next to yours and try to copy the aim so that you don't go too high and dazzle people

failing that go to an mot place and they will be only too happy to empty your wallet

I would double check the fitting. I fitted new H7 bulbs to my Leon yesterday morning and got exactly the same problem which I noticed while I was out driving last night. It turns out I'd fitted them upside down, once I'd changed them they were a million times better.

If you image the base of the bulb, the flat bit that has the small bit poking out should be pointing upwards, when I fitted the bulbs originally I had this pointing downwards. I would image the fitting would be the same in the Ibiza.

And I've learn't an important lesson. Look at the way the old bulbs fitted before you take them out!

Was changing as I fancied a HID look without the cost.

Will double check tomorrow. Not looking forward to it as they were a bugger to get off today :(
