Hi guys
I am pretty sure that my head gasket is on it's way out.
Loads of Mayo around the oil filler. Although it has only lost about two cups of water in last six months.
Could it be just heavy condensation with the extreme weather lately? The poor girl has done a lot of stop start drives lately without the chance to fully warm up.

Should it be the more serious option. Does anyone have a roughy idea of costs. Or if it is a diy option.
I am usually pretty competant mechanically. But have never done this before.
Cheers guys

Telford ay it...
Most likely condensation as you say. Take the breather pipes off and give them a good clean, check for any splits aswell. Oil and filter change might be a good idea too.

Thanks Jenk
that's the reply I was hopeing for lol.
I might already be looking at a hefty bill for an ancillary belt tensioner.
Been told I wouldn't get much change from 100.
Gonna try and lift one from an old scrap polo with a bit of luck.
My local yard has tonnes of them but very sparse on ibizas.
Cheers again

My girlfriends car does the same, she only goes shopping in hers. Every so often I just take it for a good run up the motorway, and it clears everything out. And she can tell when I've taken it for a run as well, the car seems healthier after it.
