head gasket!

hello there i have had a search and nothing has come up so hope you lot will be able to stop me worrying! i checked my oil this morning went to fill it up and there was a little bit of white gunk is this common with it being winter and the condensation or do you think it is the head gasket on it last leg's the car is a 1.8 cupra turbo and it's only done 55K i haven't noticed any loss of power or oat like that. thanks and hope some one will help cheers

Does your car overheat? Do you tend to do lots of short runs? When was the last time you changed the oil?

oh no it ant oat like that it's on me oil filler cap i have dipped me header tank and that is sound clean as. it was in between the size of a 20 pence peace and a 50 pence peace and about 1 mm thick and i do use me car for short runs every so often and it never goes over 90 sits bang on the middle

How hard do you drive it? If you're only doing short runs and don't really give the car a good run when it's up to temperature you may see a little bit

I was also thinking oil cooler as i think MORK was getting at. but when mine went i saw gunky stuff in the coolant, like mork has shown, my oil stayed clear.
