Hi,

Just done a quick check under the bonnet and noticed oil in the coolant. It was the normal pink colour two weeks ago

Anyone know what the rough cost is going to be.

My mate had this a week or so ago on his ibiza tdi 130, turned out his oil cooler gave up, sounds like the same tbh mate

Yeah, most likely to be the oil cooler in my opinion. If you had a failing head gasket you'd be losing coolant and have bubbles in the header tank long before there was oil in it. However, if it is head gasket then someone on UK Mk4 forum just got quoted £800 - £900 without a cambelt and water pump (as the same company changed those for him 2 weeks ago). That is a complete rip off, as someone else is having a head gasket, cambelt kit and water pump done right now for £550 all in.

I'd be having a check on the oil cooler myself. It's directly underneath the oil filter housing and 2 coolant pipes connect to it.
