Have you had limp mode problems?

I've been having a lot of problems with my car going into limp mode. I just wanted to get a feel for how many other people are having similar problems.

My car is an FR TDi. I see others with the same engine have had issues but I would interested to see if other engines are having the same problem?

I've had recurrent limp mode probs - in an Altea FR TDi though.

Has anyone ever had their limp mode problem fixed? Getting a replacement car doesn't count as a fix. I see some people have had sensors and the ECU replaced.

I've had the sensor giving the error replaced and also had a new ecu fitted but still not fixed. Vag com scan gives an intermittent boost pressure sensor and maf sensor fault - both short to positive so I wonder if it's something like an earth/wiring issue.

I had a problem with poor running, it wasn't going into full limp home mode, but was at a lower power level.

It turned out to be a dicky wire in the block connector behind the passenger side headlight (it was the yellow wire in my case). The connector does seem a bit exposed to the elements, so might be worth a check of that.
