Have code, but head unit won't programe in?

Hey,

I've had many problems with my lcr... Just got it back from the garage today with my gearbox being redone for the second time cause they cracked the casing the first time!

I notice the radio has 'safe' written on it and won't function, phoned the garage and they said the code is in the book just needs programing. What they mean is it didn't work and they dunno what to do ( garage are bunch of dicks ) I don't want to take it back to them even if it is there fault.

In the manual it says to press 'prog' and wait for a beep to confirm but that never happens... Anyone have any ideas ?

May have to get a new head unit but money is very tight atm.

You need it out of safe mode first.
You remove the ignition keys, turn on the radio leave the car and lock it, go back one hour and you do as the manual says.

Thanks for the help, I do have a manual that's where the code is... Don't remember seeing that in there!
