Is it a single LED? I don't believe for example the tail lights are in mine but rather a few driven by a driver circuit.
Actual LEDs tend to work or not work, the driver circuits however do fail like this.

I was just assuming they were LED to be honest.

Ive not had it out yet to see if it can easily be dismantled.

Just would like to try to fix it if possible. Im that way inclined, I'm not a member of the throw away culture as yet.

Bloody thing has just had £700 rear shocks, wheel refurb, and a couple of PS5s so if it can be fixed id like to try.

Ofcourse, I'm the same.
If the other brake lights are working ok then it's a good bet it's either the high level unit or the connection.
If the unit comes apart you can feel around for hot bits or you might see a failed crispy component.

It is an LED unit with a row of LEDs. It's quite easy to replace, it just clips in. Mine cracked. I can't remember what the back is like but nothing lost by having a look at it. I moaned to the dealer that it should not have cracked and they gave me a new one!

Did you replace it yourself ?

I read they are difficult to get out and when you do the clips break.

I've various LED strips and bits and bobs here so ill give it a go when a get a spare couple of hours, break the clips getting it out though and its game over.
