Harmonic Dampener or Sound Deadening?

I am starting to notice the hum noise in the cabin which is common on these cars especially when the tyres wear.
Have found an article about a Harmonic Dampener fitted on Audis but not fitted on Seats.
Has anyone fitted one of these and found it works?
If anyone has fitted one is there a guide at all?
Or is sound deadening the boot area a better option or both?

Sound deadening the boot floor will help with all external noises - where as the damper will only help with certain frequency noises from the rear suspension.
