Soft wax is easier to apply but also easier to over apply (ie you load the applicator pad (if you are using one) too much).

Hard wax is easier to apply more thing layers.

Some say that harder waxes are more durable and therefore applying a coat of soft and then a coat of hard allows you to get the benefits of both types. However I have heard people say that it makes no difference.

I have both Dodo Purple Haze and Blue Velvet.

i have Dodo Juice Banana Armour (hard wax). Was strange to use at first, but I love it now. Just rub the applicator around in the tub so if softens it a bit, then apply.

As said, soft wax can be over applied. Hard wax is better for less "waste" IMO! Wait a hour, then do a second layer if you wish

I prefer the hard wax, I suppose although it is less workable I actually find it easier to apply.

I certainly have to be careful with the soft option not to overload the applicator.

I think you have the answers above, it's a personal thing really. Some people prefer the softs others the hard. There is very little between them in durability.

Soft - Easier to get out the pot and onto the applicator, careful not to over apply. Best option if you want to try applying with bare hands.

Hard - Harder to get out the pot and onto the applicator, but this then stops you over applying (better curing and easy removal).

I like the hard ones myself or the semi hard like Juiced. (no rude comments, thank you. :))

its all down to what you prefer, although bare finger tipos do give the best chance of even layers.i would also wait a little longer than an hour to reapply another layer.

I've the two & I prefer the Blue Velvet, its so easy to apply a nice layer or two & buffs off a treat.

Regarding the by bare fingers issue, thats a bit of marketing dreamed up by Zymol, it makes no difference to the application, & in some respects, you end up waisting more than needed. I applied my old DESTINY by both methods, only used the bare hands way once.
