The ride of my sports reference 2007 2.0tdi leon is rough always has been but I'm sure that's the way it's supposed to feel. I don't mind feeling the road but just not as harsh as it is.

Was going to eventually in the next few months get a set of raceland coilovers as the supplier is about 6 miles away from myself and have lifetime warranty.. Would I be better off with those or just a good set of Shocks but my budget is quite tight as I don't do a lot of driving in it anyway I've done about 2.2k miles since August 2018 cheers guys

How many miles have the stock dampers done? My petrol 2006 sport reference has only done 30k miles and the suspension is so comfortable I prefer it to the eibach coilovers on my Cupra. Any amount of lowering or stiffer aftermarket springs will make the ride harsher.

If they are the original dampers I'd imagine they aren't damping at all. I'd also check around them and see if there's any sign of oil leaking or having leaked out the dampers. Maybe check it's mot history to see if they've ever been a fail (they would have to have been replaced).

My reg dosent come up on mot history check never has, Shocks are fine no leaks had the car checked over couple weeks ago while it was in getting the transmission oil changed. They could just be knackered as well but it L passed mot in August on the same springs and Shocks with no adviseries
