Hi there,

Any suggestions on how to;

1) Reduce understeer,
2) Smooth out the ride,

in an 03 Ibiza 130?

Bodyroll isn't so much of a problem and I can handle the wiggly steering when doing bumps and bends at speed, it's teh understeer I want shot of.

There is much talk of springs and dampers, plus mention of strut braces but I'm wondering where my money would be best spent, what is the general concensus?

Any help would be greatfully received, despite having driven for over ten years, this is the first car I've actually owned so I'm new to all this.

change of wheels makes a huge difference.

Maybe get the FR anti roll bar as a lot Thicker,

Coilovers would make the most notiacable difference.

Toruble is due to the front end being so heavy understeer is quite common..

Strut brace front and rear avaibable. But all of these things have an effect but driving style will depict what you need to change first.

But don't forget about the grip of the tyres too. maybe test drive an FR and see what you think of the set up on them which is quite different to the Sport.

cheers - I'm beginning to think that tyres are the way to go. Fortunately I have an advanced driving course under my belt - the only problem with that is that it teaches you to recognise deficiencies in setup, but not how to fix them! That's the mechanics course ;)

Hi
Yes I must agree with the tyre wheel and tyre bit.
But yes coilovers too,
There are many to go for.
Strut braces would be a good way to go too.

We do these for your car.
But could be worth doing a search on what you want as most items have been fitted and reported on on this forum.
If I can help just give me a shout or give us a call on 0161 7760777
Have fun with the car
