Handbrake Light Flashing

52 plate Leon Cupra 81k miles, Recently my handbrake light flashes and beeps when first started but when the engine is warm doesnt happen, also has happened when drove for approx 40mins and has stopped, handbrake on

Help?

check brake fluid level

Level seems fine....

yeh check brake fluid levels and make sure the cap is on tighly, when i loss me brake fluid due clutch cylinder, this causes the handbrake light to flash

check your front pads for wear (inner)

Are you sure your handbrake is off totally, its possible to drive with it on a bit and the car doesn't like that
Strange that its not the fluid level and you don't have wear sensors on the LC....hmmmmm??

Check the small plug under neath the handle is secured together tight. I hit a bump in the road once and it came on. I **** and wondered WTF was going on. The handbrake was off fully and it gives the most annoying beeps until about 20 mins later. Found the plug was nearly out.
