Hello,

Thinking about taking a trip down to halfords this afternoon for some front wiper blades. Mine aren't bad but they also aren't very good so i think I'll replace them. Just wondering if you think the halfords ones are ok? I done a search "wipers" and it came up with loads of threads on aero wipers but I've always just went to halfords for mine with my old car.

The front drivers side wiper blade "wing" bangs against the window when changing from going up to down on the halfords standard wipers. This is most annoying but the nice man at halfords replaced it for a bosch one at no extra charge. :D So my rear and passenger side front wipers are halfords standard, other is bosch. There is a noticable difference between the halfords and bosch wipers, the bosch being the better of the 2.

Changed my rear wiper to a halfords standard one a few days ago, doing the job tonight when it was lashing down on the way home from work.

But guess bobmcgod has the perfect comparison at the front!

If you look at your passenger one it will be slightly "curved" if genuine? So it will work better if you replace with similar, The drivers side will have a spoiler but be straight. There are some on ebay which will list bosch and spoiler drivers/curved passenger. Its up to you but a bit of xtra info for you;)

Bilston.
edit - just found someone say its a 13" blade so ignore the rest thanks

Sorry to hijack this threat but didnt see a point in raising a new one, what size is the rear blade on a mk4 beeza, its not an aero wiper.

I went to halfrauds but the man says"sorry mate you'll have to go to your dealer" i rofl'd and left laughing.

This isn ever the case so i'll get an odd one form the motorfactors.

Or if you are going for a Halfords standard one, I think I got a W11 (it's listed in the little book that's with all the wipers)..

Weird the stuff you remember!

Sorry to drag this up but i just brought a 13" bosch one from halfrauds fitted it and it went in fine but the blade sits out of the arm cover a heck of alot more than it used to is this a problem or am i just being picky. Also is the halfords one any smaller (in height) so it doesnt sit so far out of the arm cover.

If that didnt make sense i'll get piccies when the sun comoes back up..
