Sold the car to buy a....
I have just been to halfords and bought a ripspeed mushroom shaped induction kit for my friends car..before we fitted it we tried it on my 1.8t with a split-r....WOW what a difference it makes its gives a real throaty growl and a big dump. that is on a non re-mapped car!! for 29.99 you cant go wrong really!! what do you all think?

You want to be spending money on your induction rather than saveing mate, cloging your engine will cost you a lot more in the long run. I'd stay well clear of anything halfrauds.

Was it a branded one? Or a no-name filter? I'd say the filtration of cheap filters will be far from great but the flow will be very good... but if you then put a filter sock over it you'll find that swaps; great filtration, not so great flow.

Replace with a BMC CDA you can't go wrong with one! Yes they cost more but there are a few for sale on here at cutdown price. They look great, sound great and actually improve performance...!
