i've checked the oil cap and there's no sign of 'mayo', the gunk doesn't feel greasy or oily and there's no excess water from the exhaust, no overheating at all and a constant temp of around 90 on the dash wheather moving or left idling also the car is kept in a garage overnight and there's no signs of any leaks. There also seems to be water underneath it and if you mix it, it goes watery. Does anyone know what the possible cause could be??

From what i have read on this before it sounds like your coolant could do with flushing. i think after time this is common. If you do a search there is a few old threads about it
