Guage Wiring

Im aware that im now going to get told to search this but i promise iv been searching all day, and i cant find a definitive answer, i have two wires from my gauge, a red and a black, live and earth i take it, i want the lights on the guage to come on when i switch my lights on and im not really too bothered about the dimming stuff, so here is the wiring block *which i cant get out too!*

which wires do i need to tap my red and black into?

how do i get that wiring block out? i got the front facia bit off but couldnt take the light switch out (like shown in the picture)!

Push the light switch in and turn.
